ARTHUR EVANS : Excavated the legendary Palace of Knossos,  Minoan (Crete)

HERODOTUS : Wrote the book, 'Historia' and the most famous Greek Historian

 MORTIMER WHEELER : Excavated Mohenjodaro, the most famous town belonging to the Indus Valley Civilisation.
